Folding door mirrors

Hey people

I'm new here. I never knew that a wicked forum for p5 owners existed. Anyways...I just picked up a shiny black p5 last week and noticed that my passenger side door mirror is aligned differently than my driver's side door mirror. They both pop in and out just fine, except that the passenger side mirror never pops out fully as the driver's side mirror. It's doesn't affect the use of this mirror...it just looks a little odd in alignment. Am I the only p5 owner who has this or can others share in this mystery?

Thanks

Coldplayer

yeah, from the inside it looks out of place, but when you look at it from the outside, it looks fine...

ahhh.... I feel better now... I don't know how many times I checked that when I first got the car... driving along, look over, it looks wrong... stop, check it outside, everything is OK... repeat three or four times as it was a case of "maybe I didn't look at it right last time I checked"...

True, true, but it just seems more angled then what we are used to in any of our cars that we have driven in the past.

OK, I'm happy to read this. I thought it was a production flaw, but if all of us have the same thing??? Weird isn't it?

I was thinking the same thing earlier this week. I've had my ES for almost a month now, and one day, I noticed the passenger mirror seemed to be partially folded in. I thought someone brushed against the car, so I tried to straighten it out and realized that was where it was supposed to be.

Maybe this is why the driver side mirror vibrates a little while driving on the highway. But the one on the passenger side doesn't vibrate at all...

not a big issue, but it's a bit irritating.

Hey my driver side mirror does that too!! It virbrates a bit on the highway with strong crosswind. But the pass mirror is tight.
