ur car is the older 3rd gen though i mean teh bigger lights as in the ones with the turn signals more i nteh middle of the car like comparing the shae i dont have a good pic of the front of my car but i got the 2002 so im talking about the headlight style of my year. but yah teh only thing that would need modifying would be the fender cause the way the light is angled on my year. but that really shouldnt be too much that needs to be done but could cost a bit if done at a body shop. but yah the signals on teh lynx are just like straight down instead of at an angle like on the proteges.

 

the ford lynx is indeed a "mazda". it is a rebadged 323/protege. ford started selling those here in the philippines when mazda left. in fact they (ford) also sell the ranger and everest (suv) here with a mazda engine. the lynx comes with a 1.3, 1.6 and an RS 2 liter version. the lynx RS has an FS-DE engine but with the addition of VICS. it was first sold here last year during ford's 100 year anniversary as a limited editon black CE (centennial edition) car. after a few months they decided to sell the non limited RS wich only comes in red. the rs is manufactured here in the Phils and is exported to malaysia and singapore where it is also called the tierra and laser. the RS in malaysia comes with an auto box while the RS here in the Phils has a manual tranny. as far as mods are concerned, anything that fits an FS-DE will work with the RS. i dont know about the Chassis though. and by the way, the lynx is about to be phased out by the end of the year. mainly because mazda came back and released the 3 (awesome car). rumour has it that ford will replace the lynx with the focus. btw, i own an RS and i love it so much. it sells here for P798,000 ($14,454). try visiting www.protegetech.org. hope i was able to help.
