Fuel Octane recomendations

Ok...this is my opionion. (not facts but i just wanna say somethin on this popular thread )
Isn't every engine diffrent. I mean they are not exactly the same. On one engine (i don't have the manual in front of me so i'm just makin and example) the timing could be at .05 and on another it could be at .045. Anyway my point is every little detail on engine specs (because almost every spec has a range) could add up to be a big diffrence. In the manual it says 87 or HIGHER. 87 being the min. It also says (i think) to use 10w-30 oil min. Im sure many people use diffrent ones and synethetic. It dosen't say to use synethetic but people use it anyway.
Anyway my point being tha manual gives you the min. If you think and can feel a diffrence it will not hurt your car by using high octane. With that being said. I just have a question and i don't wanna trail off the tread too much just popped in my head and i wanna know. Would changing you spark plug wires have anything to do with the amount of spark coming in your engine. If so i don't think it would be enough to use higher octane but i might be right, right??? BLAH. I just wanted to see me typing

my p5 sticker says limited or special edition (don't remember now).
think of it as a field after which there is a check box. unless it says "yes" or "y" or something like that in there, it is not special or limited edition.
do yourself a favor everybody, use 87 and save your money for the mods. though no 2 cars are a like and it is possible that yours might run on 89 better than 87 but anything above that and you are damaging your car because the fuel burns before the piston gets to the top and that causes KNOCK which is BAD.

Seriously, trying to make any sense whatsoever out of your post has given me a headache.

On my car, running 93 octane gives me *smooth* power delivery, good fuel economy, and good power. I have my car hooked up on a scantool and the timing is maxed out all the way at something like +26.5 degrees (I forgot the exact #). Anyhow, I don't want to hear anyone telling *me* to run 87 octane on my car because the manual "says so". The manual says to use AT LEAST 87 octane. Some cars run better with higher octane, some don't make a difference. Let's just leave it at that. I've been watching this thread since the begining and I'm sick of the by-the-book zealots. This thread is not going anywhere. Not everything in the book applies in the real world. Every car is a little different!

Listen, I really didn't mean for this to be an argument. Maybe I didn't come across right and for that I'm sorry.
I KNOW 93 makes a difference in my car. I was looking for people with similar experience and hopefully by doing so explain the whole "special edition" thing. If your car runs best on 87 GREAT. Mine runs FINE on 87, better on 93. I didn't post to hear from people giving me their opinion of my choice to run 93. But I got caught up when everyone started attacking me. But like THEMAN said (heh) this isn't going anywhere. SO, thank you to everyone who actually responded to my post instead of critisizing (spelling?) me.

Not a flame -- just advice ...
I apologize if someone else already provided this link -- I haven't read the whole thread. But I've found this page to be extremely helpful answering questions about octane usage.
