I feel ya man .. I think I'm the ONLY person from Iowa with a modded P5. The few that I see are bone stock and usually driven by women...

And back on topic, I definitely agree with Phals .. once I see pics of the installed/final product I'm down to make this purchase happen. I already picked up Matt's BEGi & 02 clamp, and I'm getting all the gauges from a guy on Mazdas247 so I'm just missing the hardware before the kit is complete. I'm freakin pumped!!!

Well I do get told it's "cute" by a lot of girls at my school, which is kinda cool I guess .. but just drives the point further that it kind of IS a girl's car. Oh well, I'll rather have a buncha chicks checking out my car than dudes any day!!

LOL thats friggen hilarious. It is called the Famila in Japan and was meant for women.

Though I am really interested in why boost the Protege 5 engine? From my other posts and questions and answers on this board the stock block can only hand 220 ft/lb's TQ and breaks at that point.

Also I would love to see some installed pics and maybe a vFaq or something on how to do it. Theres a lot of --"Buy my bolt on"-- for every car but no one says how to do it.

I remember looking at HiBoost a year or so ago when I was going the route of Turboing my car. Still bone stock I must say and need to know I will feel happy and safe boosting the protege 5 on the stock block.

I would like to thank you for putting up some competition. The more we get people doing kits and making them work the more we get lower reliable $

well the hardest thing to decide is how much power you need. not how much you want, they are 2 diffrent numbers. i want 300hp only really only need 180hp so the car would be safe and able to maintain the daily drive reliabilty factor. it really depend on you as a driver if you plan on running your car like a raped ape your going to break something. The common misconception is that the fsde is the worst block to boost it does have it faults just like every other motor ever made. regardless of what kind of car you drive, regardless of its engine if its a stock na car with a turbo bolted on if you pound on the pedal you will break something. With some exceptions most people who have blown the stock fs motors have mostly been due to driver error ( bad tuning, driver hard, missing shifts , over revs, etc,etc )if you can handle running enough power to make you happy rather then enough power to out run a mustang then you will be fine. the protege with a few pounds of boost would be a hell of a car to drive. how many of you drove the sentra ser vspec and said man this is a peppy car?..well youll have the same pep in your step but guess what..you can also turn at high rates of speed that other cars would never think of handling...

pictures are at the bottom they are not the best of pictures but i had to print out the install directions and then scan to my hard then upload on here..lol

i can sure try. so far are the photos decent enough to get an idea of what the kit is going to look like?..the intake will adapt to a cone filter or your stock airbox depending on your setup..i left a message early for the owner of my supply company, i wanted to know if he installed a kit recently. he actually did one early last week and things went as planned!!..and after studing the directions it doesnt appear to be all that diffcult a an install mostly time consuming. a few beers and a few friends, most people should be able to nail it out in a weekend. only thing i could see being a problem is the fact that you have to lift the front of the car but as long as you do it safely and with the proper equipment you will be ok...let me know if there any other questions...i will certainly try for more pictures but i cant make any promises until i install the kit on my own car im using the suppliers pictures..when i install my kit im making a video for future installs and im going to include it in the kit that way you will have two references...im not 100% sure when that will be though..if you guys have any other questions or concerns please let me know.

hey guys i wanted to add something this kit will INCLUDED A VOLTAGE CLAMP so you will need nothing for this to work its a true bolt on kit..you can safely run 5-6 psi and achieve 170-180hp!!! thanks for your time

manfiold carries a 5 year warranty
the turbo has a warranty through garret
and all of the other parts carry a 1yr warranty

I'm unable to remove pieces from the kit what i would do is, when you order the kit sell your current rrfrp and v-clamp on ebay or on the forums. sorry man..i did want to tell you fox the bov included in this kit is not the hks ssq, its just a generic bov good quilty works well. just not the same hks sound you like, if you still have your heart set on the hks let me know and ill work something out for you i'll make up for the v-clamp.
