The car is basically standard no moonroof, leather seats, etc.
Only thing it has is an automatic transmission.
The ticket price says 17,800. I talked with the sales man and he gave 500 dollars off "dealer special" plus of course the $750.
He also isn't going to charge me the dealer fee which is $400.
So the final cost of the car is 16550 with out tax.
Am I getting a messed up deal? If so, how much should I ask to be taken off.
Or am I getting a decent deal? Please give me your opinions.

i wanna see movies of my dreams
err
sorry.
i just bought one 2 weeks ago
a silver one
old automatic
moonroof
moonroof deflector
6 cd changer
floor mats
cargo net
the upgraded security system
cassete deck
wheel locks
sticker says 19,400
and he sold it to me for 17,750.
but i didn't take the 750 off, i went with the 2.9 financing for 5 years.
so i guess if i did that that 750 off instead of the good financing i would of paid 17k.
with tax 19100. $340 payments.
go to edmunds.com
and price your car on there.
and then whatever the invoice price is
you can get that or even 2-3% below that
depending on things.

Bought mine in April
Moonroof, 6CD changer, chrome wheels/locks, dealer installed leather. We had $17,850 including the $750 rebate, but I took lower APR too, so paid $18,600.
I think you might be able to get it lower. Edmunds.com shows MSRP of $17705 for a Yellow P5 with automatic tranny as the only option. But that's using my Texas zip code. Go to Edmunds.com and price the car as equipped in your zip code. Print out the price report and take it with you. DON"T pay MSRP, and try to stay within 3% of invoice. I know others will say you shouldn't pay more than 1 or 2% over invoice, but 3% should be your ceiling. You should be able to get that price.
