Having tires that dont match?
A few months ago I had to buy one new tire that was different then the rest of my (almost worn out) stock tires. I got a gash in the sidewall of my tire and couldnt wait for them to order one to match, so i just bought the ONLY one in town that would fit....which happened to be discontinued
I now need to buy new tires for the reaming three, and I cant get ones to match the one i replaced earlier. I would hate to toss out a 3 month old $90 tire because I cant find the other 3 to match, but I dont want it to mess up my car royally if I dont get a matching set
How bad will it be if i just buy 3 more and keep the mismatched tire? I was going to keep it as a spare but I really have NO where to put it (i live in an apt with no garage or outside storage)...

If you can find just one tire to match yours now, that'll work. You want to have the same tire on the same axle. Make the two in front the same, and the two in back can be different, as long as they match side to side on the car. This isn't the ideal set up of course, but it's your best if you can't keep that odd tire as a spare anywhere and don't/can't buy 4 new ones.
OOOOOOOORRRRR, you could go to tirerack.com or tires.com and get some good deals. IMO Kumho is a great tire for cheap.
