Headlight problems

it would be possible, because putting a bulb on the driver side is a bitch for me, to much crap in the way.
but well, hope you get approved to replace the lamp system on that side then, if they are causing failures, wiring should be covered. I get work done all the time at my dealership, hell even bought my car for a cheap price.
Mazda ES 2.0 2001 for $17,900, and got the poor bastards to throw in 4 years of oil changes, I was like WTF? and then laughing all the way home.

wait so we can't touch the bulb at all? you mean i shouldn't intentionally scratch it with my screwdriver either? I mean there's all kinds of warnings on the packages not to touch the bulbs... I wouldn't have started a post if i was touching the bulbs with my fingers and inducing failure. Its just peculiar that numerous people seem to have the same problem of the drivers side bulb failing at an exceptionally high rate...

I was running Cool Blue's in my P5. They lasted 3 months before they burned out. Mazda replaced them. I put another set in and they lasted about 4 months before burning out. This time Mazda said the bulb sockets were burned out and needed replacing; both replaced under warranty. They then warned me against installing "blue" or higher wattage bulbs in the Protege5.

i just had my protege5 in again this week for the 3rd time in a year the drivers side low beam has burnt out. the dealership says there is nothing wrong with the wiring or the sockets but will do more if it happens again. its all covered under warranty but its a pain in the *** to get there for haedlights.

hey at least your dealerships our replacing them. i took mine in today and they said that they havent had any p5s in due to excessive bulbs burning out. they wanted me to pay 40 bucks to put a new bulb in with labor. i told them ill do it myself. maybe your dealer can call my dealer and tell them there morons. on top of the fact that i was gonna trade in for a mazda 3 but they said my car was only worth like 7800. told they guy itll probably be the last time i buya mazda.
