high end, low end
hello everybody! i am doing research on the pro 5 so far, i have the aem sri and am currently looking into the mazda sport exhaust. This site is awesome.
I'm just confused at what some of the threads i've been through means when they talk about loss/gain of "low end and high end".
thank you for any info.

Typically when you make a modification they will either boost power or lose power in the upper rpms or lower rpms....these rpm ranges are called low end, high end respectively.
Most modifications you'll make like exhaust really only make power in the "high end"...or upper rpms. An Intake however will usually enhance throttle response or "low end".
Most vehicles have a divided rpm range either by vtec or manifold design. Ours is manifold divided. Low end will be 0-4800 rpms and high end will be 4900-7000.
I hope this helps.
