Hissing Turkey on the lose!!!

YEP YEP Installed my Injen CAI Sat. and I must say I can feel the power a little better but the sound is freakin horrid(sounds like a loud hiss then when shifting the turkey noise. So I remebered that there has been ppl to remedy the problem, but I am not paying like $300 nor am I going to drill in to my plastic IC pipes....oh well the turkey will have to live on for a while. I really do not care as long as its doing its job. Anyone have a cheap solution by any chance??? Here are the pics before and after the install (And yes I actually put it in myself I am not mechanically inclined but did good job if I do say so myself )

Well as far as I can guess the stock MAF box acts as some sort of muffling device for the turbo cause when the turbo spools down it makes aaa....well a freaking "turkey sound" you can here it on a stock MSP but hardly noticable and now without the stock box it is really freakin loud and most annoying ....I thought about putting dynamat in the compartment where the filter is to see if i could sound proof it some what LMFAO...oh well

David's engine bay is always spotless....makes me weep.

The turkey noise is the reverberation of the boost when the bypass tries diverting the charged air. venting to atmosphere removes this noise but I don't think of it as a problem as long as the car is working and driving normally. Everyone I know of whose tried fixing it has ended up with either hesitations, stumblings or lumpy idle. Not worth it at all in my book.

Mine is one loud turkey! - just has cone filter stuck on the end of the stock components (basically removed the airbox).

of course, you can't hear it over the exhaust much...

I thought the turkey is the sound of compressor surge coming off the closed throttle body. I crack up whenever I hear it on any car, but it just sounds SO MUCH like a real turkey on MSP's, lol.

the turkey sound is to laugh at other drivers when you smoke them in a turn.

I have a real good sound clip of the MSP 'turkey'; tell me how to attach it or where to host it and I will - it is a hoot!

the "turkey" noise is just that, a noise. It doesn't affect performance or reliability or anything. BOV's make a whoosh noise, a recirculated bypass in plastic pipes makes a gobble noise. Why the MSP owners make such a big deal out of it is beyond me.

i thought it was cool. chicks like turkey, it's lean and white! just like David.
