horn doesnt work

Check the fuse. Most of the time it is as simple as that. The horn mechanism is pretty well protected in the steering wheel so nothing should be loose there. If it is the fuse, it would be annoying trying to find out why it blew. Shouldn't be any loose wires in something so new.

An air horn is one of the first mods I did to my P5. I used a kit made for a Miata (because I had positive experience with the same kit before) but I'm sure you can use any decent horn kit from an auto parts store. Fiamm certainly makes good horn kits - and that's what mine is. With all the ******** on the roads, I couldn't live without it.

Thanks Richard. I will drop in there today and check it out. Actually when you think about it you really should not have to use your horn that much but when you do you want people to hear you.
As an aside, my friend had a tiny car, a mini if I recall and he put in a truck air horn. Quite funny hearing that huge blast from such a small vehicle.

Don't you at least need something to scare the geese away?
But seriously - as far as horns go, I'm a big fan of "the louder, the better". My air horn is pretty damn loud - I've had plenty of people (both drivers and pedestrians) literally jump in shock when I give 'em a blast. Rude, or not - it's get's attention, and that's what a horn is for. Might as well REALLY get someone's attention. Driving in Manhattan especially - people have headphones on - or worse, are on cell phones. They cross against traffic without even noticing cars coming. I've scared the phone right out of a few people's hands. Yay!
Every car I own from this day forward will have an air horn. It's cool, and a good safety measure, too.

Ohh the geese. I normally just stand up in the moonroof and wave my hands. Doesn't everyone else do this .
Okay so I installed my new horn. I bought the FIAMM Freeway Blaster Horn, Big Rig Sound. It was a direct replacement for the OEM version. What a difference. I went back and forth between the two listening to the difference and yup it is much better now. Hihosilva, I saw that very same air horn at the Canadian Tire but it was like twice the price of the one I bought. I'm pretty happy with it. What was really interesting was that I had to remove the front bumper to replace the horn. What a job.
Thanks for the info Richard.
