How do I remove 3rd brake light on 2000 Pro LX?
I just want to start off by telling all of you that I already looked in the FAQ and did a Search, so don't even tell me to do another Search or check the FAQ!
Every time I drive down a rough or bumpy road the frickin' 3rd brake light rattles!!! So today I made up my mind to remove it, but I don't know how. Can anyone tell me how to remove the 3rd brake light from the rear tray? Please reply ASAP because I'm going crazy!!!

zgrieger, that light really does serve a good purpose....and it is attached to the rear deck.....and if it rattles that means its loose.....to properly remove it you will need to locate the screws/fasteners to take it off without tearing up anything...so how about when you locate those screws/fasteners....just tighten them up?
Look in the trunk....can you see them from below? if not....is the third light fixture made of two parts? an upper and a lower? can you remove the upper by removing a few screws from its cover? if so....do that and then look into the bottom and you may see screws holding the rest of the fixture down.....tighten it all up. Just my suggestion
