How Is The P/P5 At High Speeds?
#17
I commute 48mi daily. There isn't a day that goes by I dont hit 80+mph on the ride in, and traffic's on the heavy side so there's some weaving. Took the Jeep Cherokee in today and went to change lanes @ 70mph hit a bumpy spot and whooh neelhy. Guess it really depends what your comparing it to. I took the rack off and I would't say wind noise is bad.

I'm in the same boat... I commute 40+ a day now and this is the first week commuting with the PR5... I'm impressed with how well it handles (a little more top heavy than I am used to.. but great none the less!)

You know, I'm not a speeder... But up in north carolina there was this road that looked likt it was straight out of a BMW commerical..
I had to do it.. It was one of those things...
Hit 110 on a huge bank curve, for about 10 - 15 seconds.. And Hit the breaks for a no frills ride down to about 60 for a 'S' section... back up to 120 for a long straight away... Over all, about 10 miles long..
All I Have to say is, Wow, I had a new confidence in this vehicle. Not planning on doing that again, but I know now, that If I ever have to, I can...

top speed
My 1999 Protege hit 190km/h, its stock, it hit about 190 give or take a few km/h, and then the speed limiter cut in, well until i do any mods this is all I'll be able to go, and yeah mine does take it easy in 5th, and it seems to gain really slow from about 170km/h and up, but its fine with me
Mine made it down a straight away, in Brampton, Canada, at around 2 in the morning, so i didn't have to turn, but the car felt pretty solid.
