I'm back and now I do own a P5
some of you may remember me from last year. I'm the moderator from http://www.clubsi.com that was looking to get a Protege5, but ended up getting a 01 Jetta wolfsburg edition. Well I fixed that mistake and took delivery of a 2002 Pure White P5 this afternoon. Me and my wife are alot happier with the P5 over the Jetta. Even though I'm giving up alot of power (chipped 1.8T) and luxury items, the P5 fits our needs alot better.

Congratulaions! The P5 is really a well balanced car albeit not too quick. I love the utility of the hatch and considering it really is a small car I've hauled a lot of big items home in it. Welcome back!

Auto bumps up the price a little, plus I was way in the hole with the Jetta trading so early so I had to get something in the 15 range to be able to finance and get my payments lower than what I paid on the Jetta. I'm just happy to own a P5 and pay less than I was paying a month.

Hello Gok
Sup man, I had a 2000Si, too. I still visit the ClubSi forums but don't post very much. You'll find these forums a lot nicer that CSI's. I bought my P5 about a month and a half ago. I love it and last week, I installed the AEM intake and it feels much better now. Anyway, welcome man.

Me too!
Yeah, I have a bad habit of buying a new car about every 9 months. I love buying cars, I actually love the whole haggling, dealing process. Crazy huh? Well, I bought the P5 thinking this will be the car I will actually pay off and own. I even put an extended warranty on it to make me want to keep the car. This car is an awesome value for the money and can't think of ANY other car that gives you this kind of bang for the buck for only around $15,8K. This club is awesome. Sounds like there are a lot of people getting into mods for the first time and with P5, I will try to help out in any way, but I only plan on the AEM intake and Mazdaspeed exhuast on my P5 and maybe some Kenwoods speakers. Here are some pics of my old rides. (Hope this works)

Unfortunately, it wasn't a turbo. I was looking for something reliable. I bought the RX7 because it was 1 owner car with only 45K on a new engine. I sunk like $4500 into that car and it couldn't pass emissions. The AC didn't work and I was starting to feel uncomfortable in the cozy cockpit after long drives. I bought the P5 and sold the rex to a guy in the boondocks that doesn't have to worry about emissions. The RX7 was great though. I might have kept it if I had the garage room. I am content w/ my new baby though.
