I'm getting mine in the morning!
Hello all...I am purchasing my 2003 Mazda Protege DX when the dealership opens in the moring. I know it is the lowest model I can get, but my 1990 nissan sentra just died on me, no time to save. Anyway out of all the cars I test drove in the price range, this one impressed me the most. I can't wait to put suspension on it. If I get a good enough deal that is the first thing I am going to do! Wish me luck! I am very excited. See you all around.

Thanks!
Hey all.
Lets see to answer all your questions:
first the important facts: A manual transmission for me of course ( I would never drive anyting else). I purchased the Green one. I like the color, plus it has sparkels in it, and being a girl, I love sparkels. hehehe
The 02's were not sold out, they only had one 02 with a stick and it was more expensive, my protege came off the truck that day, it had 3 miles on it when I test drove it. I like that.
My first dealer purchase was a great experiance. They were real good to us, even gave me 2k for my 90 sentra, so the car came to about invoice. It was the first 03 protege for them to sell, I think they wanted it on the road with their name on it (silly them, I took all the dealer badges off already).
So far, I am still very impressed. My husband drives a 99 civic si, and he did not drive it till we got home, and has been very impressed. I would agree the car has great low end torque. When I get a chance (it may be a while) I want to put some rims and suspension on the car to help the handling.
Long story short....I love my new car!
Oh an all your out there waiting, the wait is worth it, the car is alot of fun to drive, and comfy too.
