Injen 2.0 Cai Caution
I was looking at my Injen the other day and it just so happened that I looked at the bracket that sits on the rubber spacer. I noticed that the a/c line runs RIGHT beneath this bracket. I dont know how well all your intakes fit...but my bracket was rubbing the aluminum a/c line. It rubbed right through the foam covering and was rubbing away at the aluminum line itself. I have had this intake for less than a month...and it was almost half way through the line. Luckily, I caught it and no damage other than a slightly rubbed a/c line was done. I fixed it by adding four washers below the rubber piece. This lifted the bracket over the a/c line and still allowed the spacer to be screwed into the existing hole.
Make sure to check this out in your car!!!!

I'd go for the INJEN over the short versions. Reading up on the racing beat web site, they said that they pulled back from taking warmer engine air due to the ECU not being able to handle it. That leaves me to wonder why anyone is even selling a short version. The injen works great, you get some top end power, and you get a nice rumble.
I never even had the check engine light go on like others here. I never unplugged it, just threw it inline.

Yeah, I haven't had ANY problems with my INJEN... I love that thing! I remember while installing it that I noticed how the brace for the CAI extension sits next to the a/c line, but if you install it correctly the two can coexist with no problems whatsoever.
The Injen definitely gives the car a nicer sound to the engine and great high end power!
Mitch over @ Protege5Online sells 'em cheap and everything I've bought from them shipped REALLY quick to my house.
Hope this helps!

I thought that anything to do with MP3/P5/3rd Gen was acceptable in here??? I didnt know that talking about ride quality and a meet/comparison of such was considered "personal conversation" furthermore...talking about color availability in diffrent parts of the continent???? This is HARDLY personal...if i wanted to discuss something personal, I'd be asking what everyone's wife or mom cooked for dinner last night, and whether or not you all liked it...not car color or ride quality...
The Moderators are great here...but c'mon man...dont be so quick to crack the whip.

Asking a specific question of one or two other people is a personal post best done through a private message. If the post doesn't apply to the section in general, it's a personal post IMO. If you think Jesse's quick with the whip, I should really amaze you.
