Installed mazdaspeed axelback

Hey guys, I got my mazdaspeed axelback installed today.

My only probelm is that I find it's a bit loud.
The guy installed a couple silences to it but still.
Is it supposed to be really loud?

It's not supposed to be that loud. That is one of the benefits of the Mazdaspeed exhaust. I have installed one on a 3 before, and I noticed that it's a bit louder. It's not too bad though, could be as loud as my RX-7! Are you sure you don't have any exhaust leak at the connections? It never seemed that loud to me.

Well I just got it installed today, a full exhaust system from the down pipe all the way to the exhaust.

Maybe it's because I never had an exhaust installed on my car before that's why i think it's loud.

The guy had to make a few minor adjustments to it though because of some fitment issues.

I'll have to take some pics to show you guys. I forgot my camera at home so I didn't take any pics. Maybe tomorrow I'll take pics.

Start the car. Completely block the exhaust pipe with your shoe - the car should bog down significantly. If it doesn't - you have a major leak. Should be easy to find. Put the car on jacks/jackstands and listen/feel for gas escaping.

-or-

Do a sea-foam cleaning (suck some engine cleaner into a vacuum line - and watch for smoke leaking anywhere in the system. Since you paid to have the work done - i would do this & tell him where it was leaking from. Take a picture if possible.

Sorry guys, been kinda busy.
There's no leak though, it's workin' just fine.

I got some pics taken when I was gettin' the car underwashed, I just haven't had the time to post 'em up yet.
