Installing satellite radio

I got a delphi roady xt for my Protege5. I took out the ash tray and intalled it there. I ran the wires through the little hole, and under the steering wheel, and placed the antenna on my dashboard by the inspection sticker. It seems to work well there even though you're supposed to place it outside. You can't see any wires at all anywhere, except the lighter.

I'm using the cigarrette lighter for the power source, and an FM transmitter to connect it to my car radio. I don't want to use the lighter as the power and don't know how to hook it up my car. I don't think it's too difficult, from what I understand, i have to get some wire and just attacthed it to a screw or something. I just don't konw exactly what to do.

The other thing is the FM transmitter. Is there any way to hook it up directly to my radio? I see an MD/Tape button, but Idk what that is. Is there a way to hook up XM to that setting?

I'm not really stressing the FM thing, but it would be nice to fix. THe main thing I want is to connect it to the battery.

Thanks in advance.
