Intake connector sizes

I'm getting ready to change those ugly yellow connectors and hose on my intake, but I was just wandering if anyone knew what sizes of connectors I needed to fit the MAF and throttle body.

Well, on my kit, they were 2.5 inches, but I had to stretch them quite a bit...you might try 2 3/4 or even 3inch diameter and tighten them down...but stretching them wasn't that bid a deal...just took some strength, time and patience.

I mean the size of the ends that taper down to connect to the MAF and the throttle body.

The pieces I got were not tapered...and anyway, they would taper up if anything to go over the MAF and throttle body.... The throttle body did not need any stretching at all of the coupler, so it is exactly 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It is the MAF unit (both ends) that is slightly larger than this...like I said. Hope this helps.

Weird... all 3 of my connectors are tapered. Guess I'll have to quit being lazy and just measure them.

Very interesting....we have very different CAI's...mine is like the Injen...goes in the hole under the coolant bottle....anyway, I see how they are tapered....guess your aluminum pipes could be a different size too, so best bet it to measure them....both ends.

Alright, so I finally measured my connectors. If this helps anyone else, the ID for the connectors that fit the MAF are 3" to about 2 3/4" and the one for the throttle body is 3" to 2 1/2".
