Keep in mind, on top of being way expensive, the JDM headlights are not aimed properly for driving in the US. Our lights are aimed slightly to the right because we drive on the right side of the road, and this helps eliminate some glare to oncoming drivers. You're probably going to have people flashing you constantly with these, heck, I get it a lot with my US spec lights with the stock bulbs in! Your best bet is to remove your lights, heat them up and open the case, then remove the amber corner reflector and paint the plastic flat black with a high temp paint. There's a couple of HOW-TO's floating around, do a search and you can probably find it. The cost of doing this is only about $5 for some paint, $3-4 for some sealant, and a couple hours of your time.

I personally don't get the fetish some folks have for "JDM". Do the Japanese wish they had all of our stuff? I think I'll get rich by buying a sh*tload of 1/2" phillips head sheet metal screws, having them pad printed with a red "R", and sell them on E-Bay as "Honda/Acura JDM Type-R Sunvisor Mounting Screws." If I can get 10,000 high-school kids to fall for it I can retire early. Whatdaya think?

I doubt the Japanese would want our stuff, generally we seem to get the shaft on a lot of the cool options for our cars.

What's the deal with the car in the pic, anyway? Is it a Canadian car maybe? I noticed it's a P5, yet it doesn't have fog lights.

well it definately has to be from either USA, or Canada, cuz the driving position is on the left....cuz if it was any other country the driving position would be on the right

There is a thread on the forums that lists everything they get that we don't. Proteges have HIDs in Japan, now who couldn't use a nice set of HIDs?

Looks like the owner has pulled the fogs out and installed the MazdaSPEED bumper lip.

If you want to run fogs with the lip, you have to get smaller ones to replace the originals and go without the supplied grills that fit into the lip ports, or go with the supplied grills that fit inside the fog ports and no lights. There may be a way to modify the grills to cover smaller fogs, I haven't checked. Hella has some new fogs that might allow this.

P5 fogs are too big to fit inside the 'SPEED lip ports.
