hi folks, have not been here for a long time. i just want to let you , i reached 147k and going strong. no problems out of the normal, brakes, alternator and maintenance. 2000 Protege es. purchased at around 36k.

I just had my 10th anniversary of owning my Protege5. It's running like a top at about 80k!

 

I'm going on 11 years, I'm starting to run into some cooling system issues but I'm taking it one step at a time. Here's to another 11 years. 2001 protege w/MP3 conversion.

 

just reached 150000 miles on 2000 protege bought 1 year ago with 110000 no problems what so ever except for the drunk old lady that hit me when it was only 5 days old

haha, well $hit happens. I'm at a little over 165k on my little beast. I have had some good times in that car and have been with it longer than every GF and many friends.

 

Just turned 122K on our 2002 P5. I changed to synthetic oil after the 1st 300 miles. Everthing seems to be OK. I changed the water pump and timing belt/idler etc. at 90K. Still runs well (automatic) and gets decent mileage.
