I work in the import car parts industry so I get most of my stuff at cost but there are plenty of places to get HIDs these days for a around $400-$500. Just remember that it's worth it to get them from a reputable company, one who has a considerable amout of time invested in the bulb mounts....I've never bought from them but have heard good things about www.hid4less.com check them out.

About the Pro5 headlight housings, I actually like the amber and black of the MP3/Protege ES housing better than the all chrome of the Pro5 housing.

The JDM version has optional HID lights (dual projector design).
Are you saying that the JDM version has a projector housing avalible? If you do you happen to have a pic of this?

ahh i see, so they aren't actually "projector" type headlights like those in Audi's and the Honda S2000 right?

Hmmmm, first of all...i think the stock MP3 rims look better. You havent been flashed for your HID's after 6 months? My friends and i play drinking games where everytime someone flashes me we go. I DO NOT even have HID, i have Xenon superwhite/blue bulbs. They are $30CAN at any car part store. Much brighter, give it the BMW/Lexus/Mercedes blueish look and makes the $400 for HID look a little extreme.......Also you have low and highbeams with the Xenons. You should see the looks on the faces of people when they flash me because they think my highs are on....and then i flash them. Probably blinds them momentarily LOL! I have also never been pulled over.

Hmmmm....so my friend who has a 2002 P5 who parked beside me and compared lights....when mine shone further and light up a greater area than his stock lights....thats the part where it doesnt add performance like you were talking about right? Seeing farther and seeing more on each side....damn...that SUCKS compared to stock light that DOESNT show off those areas. Add they are lower performance and thats what makes them brighter right? So thats why people flash me? Because they are DIMMER than stock lights? You are talking about me being inconsiderate and then you are talking about HID as if it "aint no thang". GOD how hippocritical...i think that is the 4th time today i have used that word to describe someone so well on this forum today. You people are so ******* retarded. Guess what buddy, there is just as much chance me getting pulled over as HID boys do, so dont word it like i thought i didnt know that. Moron.

easy boy! Don't generalize when you talk about people on this board, as a am not "******* retarded" nor am I a "moron". You however do sound quite ignorant and I hope you get pulled over. Plead your case to the cops, not us. As for someone painting the chrome on the Protege5 light housings, it has been done. There is a thread on this board about it. It was done by someone who owns a performance company and he drives a protege5, its white I believe. I will find it. And I did after one minute of SEARCHING!!!! http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...adlights+black I wouldn't mind doing that to my lights.

Hmm...well i wasnt calling YOU a ******* moron, i was calling The Man a ******* moron. But hey, guess what, you just made ******* MORON status. I wasnt "pleading my case" so if you could show me where i was doing that it would be greatly appreciated....otherwise shut the **** up. TheMan....you seem to talk as if you are one of the "tech heads" of the board. Overwattage stuff? What the **** are you talking about. When you buy Xenon headlights you have to tell them what kind of car it is for so the bulbs they give you match the wattage of yours. So the power taken is the same. The bulbs are just enginered to display the light better and brighter, but you already knew that....right?

MazdaSpeedRacer, please respect the opinions of others, regardless of whether you agree with them or not...If you disagree, you can debate in a civilized manner and not like a childish punk. If you really think we are morons then why don't you get off of the board...we don't need people like you around anyways. Also, people are probably flashing you and your lights shine farther because you have them aimed too high, I could have my lights shine much farther down the road if I just aim them way up but then I'd be blinding people. Even with much brighter than stock HIDs, I do not blind everyone on the road bucause I was considerate enough to aim my lights correctly.

UMMMMMMM.......I'm not sure what the arguing was about, I didn't have time to read it all, but I was just wondering where you purchased the AUTOEXE front lip because I have the Sport 20 front bumper on the way for my 2000 Pro and wanted to put the lip on that they make for it.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

This is more than the first thread I see MazdaSpeedRacer calling people names and just being an ignorant!

Is there a way to block this guy?

I would like to be able to go in the forums without having to read his crap and hearing him bitching. Sounds like a teen punk to me. Could be wrong.

Just a thought.
