Kart Boy Short Shifter...

Does anyone have a Kart Boy short shifter? I have been looking around and I have seen a few and on Corksport they offer the shirter and the bushings for a fairly reasonable price. I want to know if it is really going to be better that the short shifter in my 2003.5 MSP. Is it easy to install? It said it would make a 20% shorter throw and also a inch in height. If there is a better one out there let me know and prices too thanks...

I have the complete set up: Kartboy shorty shifter, bushings, and shift ****. In fact, they love me so much that they threw in a free t-shirt too! This was the first mod I ever did to the car (back in '02).

Yup. Kartboy's customer service is the best, and the shifter really shortened up the throws. Bang-for-the-buck, it's one of my favorites mods to my P5. Plus, their company car is a Protege!

It's a metal ****...Biggest drawback is it maintains the outside air temp in summer/winter.

yea, my car was missing a **** when i bought it so i picked up a cheap accessory **** from bby. it was warm pretty quick and when the weather changed it was freezing. wearing gloves makes a big difference, esp in the winter!

tom tells me the kartboy **** is slightly heavier than the oem stock ****, is it as heavy or heavier than the msp ****?

on a side note; im kicking myself because i went to the mazda dealer for a **** which the used car people were gonna pay for. mazda had a msp **** instock for $50 and i asked them if it fits my car, i'd buy it instead of ordering one. it didnt fit, so i returned it and i had to order an oem ****. i shoulda kept it and let the used car people pay for it and looked for a mazda **** on ebay! d'oh!

I have it in my P5 and love it. I can't speak for the MSP though.
