If you put something to obstruct the window from going up, does it automatically stop? If it does, throw my comment out the window.

Its most likely the safety regulations we have in the US. Just imagine all the lawsuits that would result from someone getting something caught in the widow when its going up.

It does stop. But it hurts. I put my arm out the window and rolled it up to see if it would hurt a child... and it would make them cry, but not injure them.

Lol, I've never tried putting my arm out the window to see if it would stop....Ill have to try that when I get back.
I love the auto up/down feature, I think it's kind of rare with newer cars probably because of what mnkyboy said, my old Galant (92) had it but my dad's accord(2000) doesn't.
It pisses me off when I have to pay for someone else's stupidity, if there are people stupid enough to harm themselves with a power window then they deserve it.
