obviously english isn't your first language so I'll go easy on you.

your hobby is your hobby. You're into stereo and I'm into performance. However, you're a damn liar if you're telling me that P5 runs 15's in the quarter. That's an automatic P5 with an intake and about an extra 800lbs of dead weight. I hope that nitrous purge line isn't the only nitrous line on the car. Even with it though I find it HARD to believe that tub runs 15's.

Welcome to the forum. I think your car is rice.

I spend my money in stereos and other high performance parts and stuff. While you are breaking your motors I am in a Auto Show with my music on enjoying the money that I have invested
Mi amigo, que es problemo? All we are stating is that, if you're going dump the money into a show car...atleast pour a little drop into the performance side too!

Don't get me wrong guy......putting money into stereos and exterior mods are fine but just not for me , as long as the owner is happy that's what counts. As a racer I just don't get the add on parts.....15 seconds SLOW???? The 71 Datsun 1200 I race has 90 HP (that's with mods) and blazes through the 1/4 mile at 17.6 seconds. Of course I'm competing against Fiat 850's and 1 liter British cars so it's all relative.

Tom

PS slow cars are good....the only thing that went faster than my single seat sports racer was money out of my wallet.

Aw, you're wlecome here any time, even if we don't all agree with you, it's your money, spend it how you like.
We all want our cars to look nice, this is just more of a performance-minded forum.
And a lot of it is way over my head. I grew up with small-block V-8s and carburetors, not ECUs and fuel injectors.

Don't get me wrong, I do have yellow and black leather seats too, stereos in my headrests, and I put my car in shows.

I do see what appears to be a nitrous line in the intake (?) so maybe he's running the n2o in the 1/4 to overcome the massive wheel issue.

In my experience of the past 4 years, a day at the road course beats ANY day at a car show, but I do both. The shows I do to support my club, and the track I do to support my own personal needs...

But you know me! I'm a loserrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr baby, so why don't you kill me?

p.s. did someone say small block V8s and carburetors? We do that too...

Look at it this way...the more of us who mod our cars (no matter in what manner), the more the aftermarket will support us. It's all good. Having said that, I agree with Roddimus. I want performance above all. A little flash is okay, but I would rather be able to wow (or blow them away) with go before show.

And, it appears I am one of those lucky ones with a girlfriend who understands. We had to trade cars today, and she came home telling me she liked my car better with the short shifter and Mazdaspeed axleback (in her words, she needs the vroom, vroom). I'm working on it for her. Now I just have to get her into some autocross or something.
