Maintenance Breakdown quick!

Ok, i'm nearing up to my 2nd maintenance, well about 14,000 KM i had the first one at 8000km and did the whole dealer thing - fluid top up , inspection and oilchange/filter. Now i'm hearing all these posts about people putting in all their money into these unnecessary tuneups, can someone experienced post when (km/miles) and what they do at each interval so i can get a general idea of what needs to be done over time?

Or is ALL this in the manual? Is it good enough to just follow the manual to the dot? Or is paying for inspections also a good thing?
Thanks dudes!

I imagine their only doing the maintenance listed in the manual.
Someone here converted the maintence schedule to an excel spreadsheet. (so as not to mark-up the manual) If you cant find it I can E-Mail you the one I'm using. Nobody will care for your possesions as well as you will. If you are able, do them yourself.
