a major upgrade for the auto

hi i have been doing some researech with lentech in regards to a program they offer called sct well that program will not work : ( but on the upside lentech came across a company that uses a program that is a standalone for the trans ecu. basically use auto guys could take full control over the transmission with this program ie: adjust shift points, line pressure, individual clutch pressure, etc, etc ,etc ). so with the purchase of a converter, valve body , and this program we could run with, maybe even faster then the manual cars!!!..i will be doing some more research just to make sure this will be ok but so far its looking positive. the program cost $700 but maybe we could talk to them about group buys or something to cut down the cost...also it isnt nessarary to buy the converter and valve body, but im going fi so its in my best interest

just wanted to add people are going to ask so i figured id answer first. the main ecu controls the trans, but i asked lentech and they said for mustangs are the same way and they use this program ( which is universal ) to just control the trans. so again this program should work just like a standalone engine control, but its job is to control the trans

now this has not been tested on the protege. but has been proven to work on cars where there is no source for trans control upgrades. i think im going to get one of these asap and try it out unless one of you beat me to it. but im very hopeful this will be the solution to auto-man swaps and the selling of perfectly fine autos for manuals.

ok this is the updated information spoke to the company itself in regards to the trans stand alone. ( powertraincontrolsolutions.com ). tech support told me this is a full stand alone trans ecu, your stock ecu will throw a code since its going to notice the trans is missing, but dont worry if we switch or have the ecu reflashed to a manual specs we will be fine no codes no nothing...now for the downfalls there is no standard harness so we either spend the man hours to make it yourself or pay them $150 and forward them a harness and they will make you a one off unit, so then its plug and play. next will be the issue of theres is no pre-programed settings so you will have to figure out what suits your needs and tune it yourself. i was planning on getting the stock setting inputting them and working from there... so this is the real deal it will work and i think its going to be so freaking sweet!!!

Keep us posted as to the testing on the auto Protege. Sounds pretty good.
