Mazda warranty wont pay for my damaged tire!

What you guys are failing to include is that this guy bought the extended warranty.
He's got text from that warranty that includes road hazard damage to the tires - he wrote the phrasing in his post.
I do not have the extended warranty, but unless he completely fabricated the language that is in his post, HE IS COVERED FOR THE TIRES.
Under the standard warranty, Dunlop covers the tires - and with the exclusions listed above. But in this case, it seems the Mazda extended warranty also covers his tires, and that includes road hazard.

If it really is covered under an extended warranty, the warranty administrator should be contacted to explain the situation. They should be able to identify a dealer that can assist in replacement under the plan.

that paragraph was not fabricated at all.. It's written on the back of the first or second page of my extended warranty form. I spent about 15 minutes going over those 3-4 sentences with a mazda warranty admin over the phone. They are ALL incompetent and simply cannot understand what it says.
rodslinger: thanx for the info from dunlap. According to that, since it was a road hazard, dunlap will not cover it.
Don M: that is true, but the extended warranty that i paid extra for DOES include the tires, according to that paragraph.
hihoslva: Hmm.. pose as a lawyer.. that might be kinda fun. Thing is, the dealer told me that i should NOT drive on that tire and it's unfit for the road. Thus, mazda might take the position that i was driving on it knowing this, and thus they wont be at fault for any damage. I had no choice but to drive it back home because I didnt want to pay them $170 out of pocket, and that was the only way they'd fix it at that time.
anyway.. i'm not gonna do anything until monday.
Thanx for all the interest in my little problem though. Hopefully it will help others out in the future

Could be a Canadian thing but I have a supplement from Dunlop (Canada) in my glovebox that states warranty due to defects in mfg. and a limited road hazzard warranty that includes sidewall cuts, but not things like running flat on a rim, racing, autocross etc.
Also I had D40M2's on my Mustang and hit a pice of metal and cut the sidewall, I went in to the tire shop fully expecting to have to pay for a new tire, but was covered under the Dunlop warranty.
So maybe Canada?
