Ok I will take pictures of them and post them up as soon as they come in. I ordered them for my freinds P5. Too bad I did not find out about these until now cause I did fork out the 55 bucks to get the brackest from DG. Oh well right live and learn

When you hold the DG brackets in your hands you get that "they made this for less than a dollar's worth of material, a couple cheap welds, and a few bends" feeling, and it's not a good feeling.

I haven't bothered with new brackets (both of mine broke.. one broke at a bend, the other was a weld that broke) but if they're cheap I could be interested. I hated the DG ones because it makes changing the spark plugs and coil packs take forever!

here's a pic of the DG ones installed:

the left one is broken in the front.. it should bend down and then bolt to the valve cover but not anymore

Tell me about it they felt so cheap when I took them out of the packaging. I could not belive I paid almost 60 bucks for two pieces of metal that I could have gotten at my local hardware store and fabricated myself.

But these are suppose to be maid out of better quality materials and should withstand higher stresses than the DG ones. Because I feel like mine are going to give out any morent. . So far had them on for about a month and everythings ok. As soon as they come in Ill post pictures of them before and after intallation.

Those cheap pieces of tin are the DG ones. Screw that I'd definitely make my own before buying those. I thought they would be aluminum.

Bitter much

Sounds to me like I can spend $0 and have the engine cover sit there just fine.

I can name at least 5 people that I know who have been doing it that way for years :P

you can make a makeshift ziptie chain anchor just in case it tries to fly away in the really tight space on top of it with the hood closed :P

That's half *** just letting it sit there , that damn thing would rattle like a banshee if left like that. Lets all sing together, M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.

maybe mine doesn't rattle because the engine isn't really allowed to move much? :P

I picked up some nice aluminum strips and stainless hardware but after looking at it without the use of a vise it would be difficult to get the bends that are required. Was going to make the brackets attach to the cover first then design brackets to attach to the cover bracket as well. I have no welder, so welding the aluminum is out.
