Mazdaspeed Official pricing out

Invoice 18,466

MSRP 19980

effective Sept 4, 2002. There are no available option packages nor separate equipment packages. Ths only 'options' listed on the spec sheet i have is a trunk net and perimeter alarm.

Go and get them while they are hot. Spicy Orange is the harder color to find. I'd lean to the black personally.

There are no options. The trunk net and perimeter alarm are included in the $19,980 (+$520 destination) price.

See my post here.

Dealer mark-up, no S-plan

Ya, but at least in the Detroit area, the dealers are going to mark them up $2-3k. Also, they will no honor the S-Plan discount (for Ford employees), which is why we bought the 2002 PR5, which I love after only one week today.

It's at the dealer's option to honor any -plan pricing. It doesn't have to be on something special/limited like a Mazdaspeed Protege. Dealers could refuse for any number of reasons.

I'm glad my Mazda dealer isn't going to mark them up. Seems like a kinda slimy thing to do.

I am in the Detroit area and none of the dealers I spoke to were marking up the MSP. Bill Cook and Surburan offered me MSP's at MSRP. I went with Bill Cook Imports since the sales guy, Ray Smith, was very cool. Ask for him, tell him Andrew recommended him and he'll see you right.

MSRP+ $2-3k takes the car way over priced, one could get a WRX for that or RSX-S. Shame about S-plan tho' but Ford does that for some of their cars too.
