I think that it should be closer to the 20k mark. the Mini has 160bhp for the Cooper S and it's price is 19,000k. the WRX is 24,000K and has a 227bhp.
I do think that the speed3 will be the better handling of the three I listed be for the money I'd pick the Cooper S.

Do you have something against Neons???????Cuz I owned one for 4 years before buying a protege,and I can tell you one thing,there is not a pro here that could beat it.I'll put my head on fire if I lie.I sometimes regret selling it to my best friend.Why do you guys dont admit that a neon kicks your **** big time??Why dont you brag over beating minivans and tercels? Because unless a pro would have a turbo or some serious boosting stuff on it ,it's not a really competitive car.I love my pro,it feels faster now with the exhaust and all,but Mazda could have really improved on the engine and make it a little more ''zoom zoom zoom''.
Please dont think I'm betraying the protegé community,cuz I'm part of it,but I would be a lot more happy to pay 15 grand for my pro if it would have a few more performance parts available for it.

 

I do have something against Neons, I DON'T LIKE THEM! I havent raced any one in a Neon that has had a chance in hell at beating me. One came close but only by 1/2 a car length. Now, there is no one around here in about a tri state area that can beat my VW with a Neon. IF you do have a neon that you think would beat my VW then I'm waiting. I would be more than happy to lose to you if you can beat me. REMEMBER, racing is all about fun. There is no need to get pissy over some ones opinion.

 

dont worry,I hate civics anyway,probably for the same reason you hate neons..but if you notice,i mentionned that my neon would beat any protege,if yer VW is a corrado or a brand new VR6 then I'm screwed for sure.I have definitely beaten an old jetta with a vr6 conversion in downtown montreal about 20 times on the same street,at EVERY traffik light.Dont be mistaken,my neon was actually VERY fast.I asked the guy if his fuel pump and all the comnponents were also from a vr6 and his answer was positive.Everybody would ask if I had a turbo on it.Thats the reason why I feel so bored in my Protege,even with the 1.8L.Sometimes I wonder why I've switched from an all paid fast car to 20000$ debt for a snail.Oh,I think I remember,it was because the neon needed repair every month!!

 

Seems like EVERYONE out here drives a Neon b/c they're so inexpensive. I know a Neon, like basically any other car, can be made faster if you have the time and money to drop into it. The only problem is, all these ppl out here have Neuspeed stickers, huge wings, and japanese logos of ALL kinds, ALL over their Neons... and NO modifications to ANYTHING. STILL they think their cars are tough ****, and get pissy when you beat them. That's why I personally don't care for the car. Not only that I just don't like the way the car LOOKS, especially the headlights.... this is all my personal opinion of course, so if you drive a Neon, don't take offense. Like my husband, I just don't like them.

 

technically it is the us version of the skyline, I don't remeber it's desigination though ,, I just put in skyline , cause that is the car it is replacing, God knows why , cause I don't

some companies are famous for cutting corners, I would be very weiry of a neon selling for 13g's with all those parts, I mean is there a head gasket included also .....
Honda's cut corners also ,, they don't even put the metal H on the stearing wheals anymore

Reminds me... just the other day I saw a white neon with Ralli Art decals all over it! The one in the back window took up the whole freeking thing! Some people's children.
