mid wing now available for P5

Yik.
Methinks someone at Mazda realized that you can take a rear spoiler from a Protege sedan and slap it on a P5 and make more money from current accesory inventories.
Seriously...I can dig the stock unit as it keeps rain and gunk from the rear window and possibly improves aerodynamics by keeping a big low pressure pocket from the rear of the vehicle...but what's the purpose of this thing? A handle for towing skaters behind the car?
No flames, I mean no disrespect. You do to your car what you like, and I'll do the same. I'm just a less is more kinda guy. In my opinion, no rear spoiler has any purpose on a Protege beyond what is stock (other than possibly improving the F/R weight ratio...lol). If you like the way it looks, then by all means...but $400 is a good chunk towards performance driving school...

ugh. Sorry dude, to me that looks bad. It sticks off way to much and the legs going up the sides, flush with the trunk looks bad as well.
Put the legs underneath formed to the contour around the lights and change the bend of the spoiler to the same angle that the rear window line is. That would look good.
Just my .02 cents.

btw, it's a bolt on application. NO tape is used, other than to secure the foam gasket to the bottom edge of the wing. the tape is NOT used to hold the wing in place, lol. I doubt a wing secured by tape would last very long!
