Mods paid by Uncle Sam....

Well the tax man finally cometh and I finally have enough money to put 2 mods on my car:

1) Cork Sport exhaust system (catless )Thanks to Matty

2) Hard pipes for my intercooler (still working on this transaction).

I should be able to post dyno sheets a couple weeks into April (the WOMP Dyno Day in AL around 4/9/05)

I must admit I am excited seeing as these are my first mods to the car....I am looking to make around 30whp....

my tax return goes directly into the principle of the car loan.

Ahhh...my tax $$ did get me the trip to Key West paid off and a downpayment on Cruise #2...plus other stuff...not necessarily all car-related.

Not to bring anyone down, but those tax refunds are YOUR money. I always try to minimize my refund by judicious juggling of deductions on the ol' W2. More money in my pocket during the year.

Having said that, enjoy! I am getting some suspension pieces with what I have left over from bill paying.

I'm going to try to get david another 30whp at stock boost levels and I don't think it'll be that hard but without a baseline dyno we'll not know for sure.

just fyi, all of my refund check ($3100) went to buying more womp stuff and getting my mp3 rims repaired.....no new toys for matty...

LOL, I'm the same way. I just shake my head when people at work get all giddy about their refund. What sucks even worse for the Iowans is that the state counts your federal refund as income for the next year. That's income that was already taxed the prior year!

Back on topic. . . ordered the Wagner cams last week. I'll just call that my refund mod.

^^ Word if you do get stationed here I suggest getting at least one more coat of underspray for the chassis, and if you got any questions about this place I can hook you up.

True, I let you know what's up for sure.

I put in for USAFE & West Coast bases only....so we'll see how it turns out!

Dude...living in Europe would totally blow my mind....although I really want to get Mildenhall or Lakenheath (UK)...eurospec & J-spec cars and the love of autosports there...plus everyone speaks English.....lol.
