Question MP5 starting problem

I was surprised this morning when I went to start my P5 and the engine rolled over, but didn't start. Full tank of gas, no apparent leaks anywhere and no sign of anything wrong with the plugs. After trying it about three times and really leaving it to turn over, it finally started but was not running smoothly for about 20 seconds and then everything was normal.

Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour, or have any indications to what the problem might have been?

Cheers,

Eric

check your spark plug wires. they might be bad. this has happened to me before and wires are sneaky, they'll play with you. ;|

I have experienced the same thing on my P5 on numerous occasions it doesn't happen frequently but every once in awhile it has trouble starting and that is with a full tank of gas. Mind you i have the Denso Iridium Plugs but it also occurred with the stock plugs as well.

Not to be a jackass, but... its a new car, so take it to the dealer! Use your warranty for everything you can while you have it.

Eric F. - my bad I only read the forum headings, not the descriptions underneath, hence engine in engine, brakes in brakes. Didn't notice that the mods to each were the actual forum topics.

As for seeing the dealer, I will go since I find this unusual especially hearing that JPerezz21 experienced the same thing, but I hate wasting an afternoon there ...

Cheers,

Eric
