MS Pro or MP3 no cruise control?
#2
Definitely not in the MP3, probably not in the Mazdaspeed Protege. Car & Driver said it was standard, but no other magazine has mentioned it, none of the test cars had it (including theirs) and none of the production cars at the dealer introduction had it.
It would be nice to have, but I'm 99% sure they won't have it.

TheMAN, since you seem to have more experience with these things, does this car have cruise control?
It looks to me like it does. That's close to a production model (notice the ribbed intercooler hoses and MAZDASPEED on the heat shield.) Since no cars have been delivered to dealers yet, is there still a possibility that they will come with cruise control?

Hmmm...
The part circled looks like a cruise module
however this capture from the mazdaspeed website's interior 360 has no buttons on the wheel?
Of course they also show the new Mazda 6 with the silver taillights and we all know the US version will have all red so I guess we still won't know for a while!

Okay, here's a picture of an orange Mazdaspeed Protege at the port getting the turbo and stuff installed. It definitely has the cruise control bracket installed, but no cruise. It could be that they install them at the port (this car also doesn't have the turbo yet) but none of the pictures of any Mazdaspeed Proteges have buttons on the steering wheel.
