MSD ignition

I was thinking about getting one of those MSD ignition boxes since they seem to be beneficial from what I've read, fairly inexpensive, and CARB exempt. Does anyone have any input on these things, or experience? Is it worth the investment of 100-150 or is that cash better used elsewhere? Thanks!

If your lookin' for a little more HP save and get a header to compliment on the muffler. I dont think an MSD box will do you anygood now.

3rd gens don't have distributors our standard coils....we have whats called DIS with coil-packs....msd won't help you any. You would need to add a LOT of air and fuel before you'll blow out the stock spark.

MSD doesn't make any ignitions that work on a 3rd gen anyway...no need to explain why you dont need it

Actually, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to ignition and how it can be modified to benefit the car...are there any threads that already address this? Thanks for the input, too.

Please re-read my thread...and to add, modifying your stock ignition will not net any power gains...the stock ignition system is PLENTY powerful enough to support MUCh higher horsepower levels...you would need to start exceeding 300-400 hp to make the stock spark insufficient
