Angry My weekend or... my luck.

I don't know if ya'll member about the luck i have been having with my car lately but i have had my tranny go out and my cd player stolen. Hoping to shed the bad luck and have some fun, i decided to make a 4 hour trip down to houston to the texas murderfest.
Well i woke up @ 7am on saturday to get down there at around noon or so.
I leave and am on the road by 8 am.
I just pass huntsville(a lil more than halfway there) my temperature gauge goes all the freakin way to hot. the battery light comes on. I'm like wtf!?
I pull over to a picnic area about 500 feet, stop, turn off car, watch steam pour off the cars hood.
****. at this point in time i have just given up on the car. I make some phone calls, and ask this guy in an rv to help me put some water in my car. He helps me, and we reconnect this hose going from my coolant tank to the radiator.
I try going again, but this time right when i hit 60 the car starts over heating.
I pull into 'new waverly' aka podunk *** place where everyone drives a truck. and into a gas station.
This guy says he'll fix my car if i give him gas... sounds dam sketchy, but at this point i thought i had no choice. He finds out that the alternator belt has been broken. We go to the local car parts store, but i finally get ahold of mazda roadside assistance. So i opt to go for roadside assistance instead of this stranger. While hes taking me back to my car, he starts beggin me for money, saying his wife stole his wallet, and that his trailer's tire is popped and he needs to fix it.
After about 15 minutes of beggin i give in and give him 10 to stfu.
Anyways i wait for about 2 hours in the middle of freaking nowhere, and finally a two truck comes and gets my car.
He brings it to gullo mazda in Conroe. They take a look at it and tell me that it has been in a bad wreck(which i knew somewhat) and that basically they will fix it under warranty but i should take it back to the dealer b/c it has some serious damage.
Well, this has screwed with my mind enough so i decide just to goto the show anyways... i makeit to the show, and they have raised the price from $25 to $30... so i pay it and go in... there is like 40 ppl there... this was supposed to be a huge thing. Well the show blew b/c of the turnout and none of the bands got paid. I left early b/c i was discouraged about this and made it home.
Now, i have to find a way for the dealer to buy my car back... may have to talk to a lawyer, since the dealer knew my car had been wrecked ,and alot of the damage is unrepairable under warranty... basically just screwed me.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that things are still going downhill for you. You know, a lot of attorneys work on contingency (they only get paid if their case wins in court). Why don't you contact one?

^ That would probably be your best option. Also, do they have a lemon law where you are? Most places, if your car repeatedly breaks down on you after you bought it, they're required to replace it with something of equal value. Just a thought anyway.
Hope things start looking up for you soon.

the lemon law usually only applies to brand new cars, since when a dealership recieves a new car there might be things wrong with it that were hidden from them as well, and if you can't prove they knew about that stuff, then they can't technically be held responsable under the lemon law... thats why it only applys to new cars...

sorry about your luck tho man, i think a lawyer will be able to sort this out really well, and i wouldn't go cheap on it either, there is a reason rich people always get off easy, they can pay the big bucks for the best lawyers... good luck with it, hopefully it turns out in your favor...

I didn't know it didn't apply to new-to-you cars. Oh well... makes more sense that way; my mistake.

I talked to a lawyer, what the dealership did was under the deceptive trade act. I will get a quote from the mazda dealer as to how much damage is done that isn't under warranty. I will try to make a resolution with the dealer, get the stuff fixed and paid for... or i will file a suit against the dealer, and hope to reach a settlement before we have to goto court(60 days). The law says i can get up to three times what the repairs are worth.
So, i'm gonna get the stuff from the mazda dealership, and approach the dealership that sold me the car with this information, and see if they will work with me.
