New Guy From TN

Whats up everyone, a few friends of mine are on this site and the other site (Mazdas247) and since the other site is not letting anyone view anything I thought Id come check this one out.

My name is Chris, 22yrs old. I live in Clarksville, TN. I'm in the Army (active duty), I'm a All Wheel Mechanic...all trucks. I own a 2002 Protege ES here is the mods I have done to it:

- AEM SRI
- Tsudo 4-1 header w/ 2.5in piping to a Borla Exhaust system
- 10mm Nology plug wires w/ Denso iridium plugs
- B&M Short Shifter (trading out for a TWM SS)
- Kartboy shifter bushings
- Eibach Pro Kit, dropped 1.5in all around (trading out for Tein S-Tech's)
- Tokico HP struts (trading out for Tokico Illumina's)
- AWR Racing 21.5in rear sway bar with 10in adjustable end links
- Ebay MazdaSpeed seats with red 4pt harnesses
- Ebay MazdaSpeed shiftknob with black w/red stiching suede shift boot
- 17in Motegi FF5's wrapped in 205/40/17 Fuzion ZRi's
- Optima Red Top battery

I think that is it that I can think of. Future plans are:

- FS-ZE motor
- 4inch down pipe, 3inch down pipe back Apexi Exhaust
- Some sort of a CAI
- Boost controller
- HKS SSQ BOV
- Turbo Timer
- other turbo **** I can't think of right now, lol

If you have any questions, just ask.

Chris

Show some pics, sounds like a nice one.

Welcome to the club. Trust me, you'll like it more than that 'other' place

Seems like the group here is a little more mature and helpful, but that's just my opinion.

Nothing against the other guys, just a prefference.

The guys I talk to are mainly people from Nashville, TN since that is the nearest big city, and we have a pretty mature group. But I hear what you are saying.

Here is the pics I said I'd post:

Looking good. Reminds me of my ES, haha. Most people here drive P5's or MSPs, so I like to see a few more sedans kicking around.

By the way, is that 2 optima batteries on top of each other in there?

Welcome to the forum. Nice mod list.
How much boost are you planning to run--or, what is your goal in hp?
The KL-ZE isn't really worth the trouble IMO.

The header works great, just gotta do that Spark Plug Non-Fouler mod to get the CEI light to go away, other than that, it works great.

And yes the guy in the 6 is hanging out the window at about 70mph on the highway going to Huntsville, AL a couple weekends ago. Don't worry he had a passenger in the car.

No its not 2 batteries, just one...the battery tray is just red.

Welcome to the forum. Nice mod list.

I'm not getting the KL-ZE, I'm getting the FS-ZE, the JDM 2.0L Turbo. Same as the MSP motor, but a lot more durable and able to with stand more boost, according to CorkSport. I probably wont go much more over 10lbs of boost, I'm looking to get around 250hp, daily driven, which I know is very possible and for not a whole lot of money. However, I think that the EMS is what is going to suck my pockets dry.

Thanks guys for the comments, I know the mod list isn't too crazy long, but I've spent a decent amount of money into it. I love it...its my baby. My wife gets jealous cuz I spend all my time doing car stuff or buying stuff for the car...she hasn't got flowers or anything more than a manicure since Valentine's Day, lol. But she understands, hell it was her idea to buy the new motor before I deploy next April, so I like to think I have the perfect wife, lol lets me buy car parts and never asks for anything in return But she's gonna get a hell of a vacation when I come home in July 2009.

Any questions, feel free to ask. I'll have some more pics here tomorrow, my website is doing a photo shoot tomorrow with our two new models.

Chris
