New owner seeking any advice

the P5 does have a cold rattle re-flash but I've also heard it doesn't do anything.
NO, the fs-de engines do not have variable valve timing. They have VTCS...variable tumble control systems. What this does is help strip up the dense cold air right before the combustion chamber. It's a waste and should be removed from any engine if you ever pull your intake manifold off. I can't believe I haven't done it yet.
my only issues with the p5 are the super soft motor mounts (buy an AWR front motor mount), rusted brake rotors (bought zinc-plated brembos) and the horribly rich-running ecu (stand alone fuel computer)....I love my p5.

.... NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) are slightly worse than other cars in the same class. But, that is something you would have had issue with during the test drive.
Mine has been great. 27,000 miles and not a warranty or other concern yet. I have a feeling that this one is going to be a sweetheart for a good long time.
