Just thought i would say hello to everyone. Just bought a new 02 Protege ES. I Think the Protege is a great car and everyone that has seen it loves it also. Silver Metallic is the color. I have been dropping in for some time now and it was the comments and quality of this club that helped me make up my mind on buying the Protege over other options. I have a few questions to ask but will do so later. It is late here in (Florida) and have to work early tomorrow. Thanks to everyone here on the forum who unknowning helped me with my purchase. Silver ES with ABS/EBD, Side Air Bags, Moonroof, Factory Mud Guards, 5 Speed Standard Trany.

 

I just got mine on Saturday, and I can't get enough of driving it!

I got my p5 on Monday of last week had it 3 days and some girl smashed the front end of it on the 3rd night. Now its in the shop for the next 3 weeks. Boy I miss my car. I can tell you though you made a great choice cause it did quite well in the accident.

Thanks!! Nothing major planned, just a K&N drop-in, putting in my Bostons (front) and Infinitys (rear) along with a nice amp. Gonna keep the stock HU, though (personal preference).

I'm getting sick to my stomach... I've had my 1997 VW Jetta GLX on the market now for over a month but seems people don't want to give me fair market value for it.. I just dropped my asking price by $1,000 and put it in the autotrader...

Listening to all these new owners I'm dying to get my Protege ES GT... damn!

What about a trade-in? Is the dealer gonna screw you on trade-in value too? If you're dropping it by a thousand, it may be just as easy to go see if the dealer will work with you. Get that Pro already PJ!!!!!

Already tried the dealership, they are trying to stiff me big time. They offered me $15,000 for a car that is listed as $16,200 Black Book! At any rate, the dealership told me if I'm able to find a buyer for my car that is willing to pay both PST & GST (taxes here in Canada for vehicles), that he'll allow me to count it as a trade-in.

So....... Now I still have to find a buyer. I had it listed in the autotrader about 3 weeks ago at $18,900 but have dropped it this week to $17,900 or B.O. Even if I get $17,000 I'll take it eventhough the car is in mint condition.
