Hey import, well Iridiums offer great protection against punishing heat and pressures of some tuff rigs. But only in extreme cases. i havent personally seen a failure due to platinum in a Turbo rig or Nitrous. but if your got a DURATION burst with Nitrous instead of just a one or two shot here and there then maybe you have a problem... because the cooling system is designed to keep your temp low, also if you have th right plug its designed to channal the heat away.. or if you use the opposiite type heat plug, keep the heat in. its a balancing act in terms of your cylinder/engine temp.

but what we are getting at here is pretty much design and brand, and thats where everyone goes wild like crazy apes lol hehe.

As everyone says, there is NOTHING wrong with using STOCK plugs...

my personal interest in my BOSCH plugs was
A) not having to change them every 20,000 - 40,000 km
B) the claims of Fuel Economy.

At the same time i wanted to test the theory against NGKs Irridium plugs.

to be dead honest. a plug is a god damn plug, they alll do the same thing, in almost the exact same way.

some make claims that are true, but totally irelivant if you know what i mean..

i think like Irridium allows for a stronger spark due to its conduction of electricity and the size of its centre node. or what ever claims like that you get off the box...
to be honest, as long as there is a decent charge set off in any spark plug, your going to get a pretty much clean discharge as long as the plug is not FOULED or Dirty... or damaged..

V GROVE
G Grove
Irridium
Platinum
PLUTONIUM

what ever the hell you choose they are pretty much going to do the same thing...

choosing a poor designed plug will give you a performance hit but so far i havent encountered one...

I'm more interested as to plugs for boosted cars with high octane. I'm going to switch to the stock msp plugs until I get tuned and then I'll be trying out about 3 different plug types so I can dyno them instantly.

Sorry guys, I'm a big ole ***** and when people say things to me to prove I'm wrong I don't know how to control myself. I'm a big crusty vagina and a typical ricer/honda owner. Please forgive my stupidity as I don't have a brain in my head. I apologize for ruining a perfectly good thread and promise it won't happen again as I've been banned for a week starting today. Should I choose to come back after today and STILL act like an *** I'll be tossed for good. Sorry I'm such a tool.

^^^ wow, good to see he came to his sense after he swore he was selling his car for a honda and he'd never be back.....he found his way back less than 24hrs later.

p.s. I changed his post. I did it when I was finished f-in' myself with a rusty fork like I was instructed to do.

Well, hopefully, MprotegeLX will realize that we are all here to learn, help each other out and discuss things intelligently.
I gotta say, it takes a big man to come back and apologize.

Rod had me fooled too. Another dummy here for falling for it. It was too good to be true. The edit is hilariously funny though.

Ummm...what happened? I'm still confused and I think I may need to change my spark plugs soon.

Do they make any yellow-blinking spark plugs?

i'm going to swing by the parts store and get myself some MSP stock plugs to see if I notice a difference in drivability with just that simple change. I'll also post some pics of how fouled my plugs are!
