Notta H7 Low Beam Bulbs 2005 Mazda3s

Have a low beam out, bought OEM thinking they will last the longest. So the stealership sold me two H7 bulbs for my low beams.

Went to put them in, but my bulbs have a much longer base, and wider spaced wire connector prongs.

Figured it out - The longer base is just an adapter. They are H7's with an extra Mazda wiring harness adapter plugged into them. They were long life bulbs - lasted 7yrs - that's a long time for a low beam bulb. From what I see they last twice as long, but cost 3 times as much. The theory being less maintenance is worth the price. However the replacements the dealer sold me are not the long life rated.

Apparently they have a finite life - because after I replaced the bad bulb and turned on the lights to test before replacing both sides..... The other side was out then too.
