Oil temp gauge?
#3
Inimical_01ES, read a little SLOWER.....he said oil TEMPERATURE....not pressure....but....you could still put it in the gage pod...
I would have one question....why? if you engine is within normal operating temps..(water temp) your oil is going to be fine...as long as there is the proper amount of oil in the engine. SO, other than just putting another gage on the dash....what would this really do for you?
could it be done? certainly it could, all you would need to do is aquire the gage you want and its sending unit....then find a proper spot to mount the sending unit.....it may take some custom work...but you could do it.

I've been told that oil takes more time to get warm, so I just wanted to be sure of the true temperature of the engine.
Also, my water temperature gauge goes from cold to middle (the normal position) very fast. I always wait a little, as it seems to me that the engine isn't warm enogh...

YES, it takes a bit longer for the oil to be up to NORMAL temp....but not really that much longer.
