Which one should go faster? MP3 or......
Summer is coming and it's time to have some match up soon...
Just wonder which cars are good competition with MP3...
Mazda MP3
Toyota Celica GT (new one)
Mitsubishi Eclipse 4cyl. (new or old)
Hyundai Tiburon 4cycl. (new or old)
Nissan Sentra 2.0 SE
Chervolet Cavalier Z24 or Sunfire GT (new or old)
Acura Integra (not GSR or ITR)
Toyota Corolla S (new)
Honda Accord 4cycl. (new or old)
Honda Civic SI (127hp)
Also, Acura 2.3 CL, BMW E36 318i and E46 320i and 323i
I know it will depends on the driver, but according to the specs, which one should go faster....

In all honesty, the MP3 in stock form, is not fast at all. I'm guessing it could take the Tiburon, Corolla, non-turbo auto Eclipse (4 cyl), auto Accord (pre-2003) and Sentra. Stay away from 5-speed Z24's and 99-00 Civic Si's for sure.
Remember, keep it on the track!

The only ones which will give you a serious problem are the 2.4 sunfire/z-24 (under 8 seconds to 60 with the manual), the last gen Civic SI's (about 7 seconds to 60), and the Acura RSX (either trim). The non GS-R or Type-R Integras aren't all that fast. All the others are more or less comparable to the MP3 and will be more of a driver's race than a specs race.

MP3, 140hp, 142 lbs toque, which more toque than Tiburon, Celica, Integra, civic......etc...
SI is faster than MP3? I heard that it's will be close, but SI only only 127hp and no toque, maybe it's lighter, but it suprise me if a SI can pass over a MP3 that easy....
I forgot the Acura 2.3 CL, I saw one on highway last time racing with a Sunfire GT...I know 2.3CL has 150hp too....
Also, the 00-01 GOLF 1.8T that got 150hp....
I know the 1.8T has 180hp now....I drove a new Jetta 1.8T and I got surprise by it's power, the power can come up at 2000rpm!!

in Canada Civic EX, DX or LX has only 115hp.
SI has 1.6 Vtec engine, which gives 127hp
SIR (the new hatch) got 160hp
00 SIR coupe has 165hp (I believe)

SIR must be the Canadian Civic SI. 99- present, 160 hp.
The base, DX, and LX Civic here makes 115. The last gen lower models made 105. EX makes 127.
So, stay away from the SIR, but have fun playing with the others.
