Opinions wanted!

Ok... Here's the deal! I want you all to respond and tell me what you think. Earlier this week my husband posted asking your opinions on what he should replace his VW GTi VR6 with, a new Tiburon, or a MazdaSpeed. (thanks for all the prompt responses!)
Please note we also own a '01 mp3 (my car)
Now this is the deal as I presented it to him today: Why buy a MazdaSpeed, when you already own a Mp3? The mp3 can now be modified with the MazdaSpeed products hopefully!
SO...
I'm willing to make a "trade." His primary car would be the mp3, he could play with it, modify it, whatever! And I would in return take the Gti (I LOVE this car, almost as much as my mp3)
This would then keep us from getting into higher payments with a newer car. He'd have a Mazda like he wants, and I'd also be happy!
So what do y'all think?

i need a wife that likes modding cars!!!

btw, what year GTI is it?
it would be really cool if you guys souped up both the GTI and the MP3. you could use the money you save from buying a new car on aftermarket parts

sounds like a good idea.....
the thing is that if you get the GTI VR6, the woman in the family would have the faster car

130hp, those were my thoughts exactly!
LoL Identity_X maybe that's why he's hesitant to trade?

Davard, that wasn't nice....

Right, anyways, I wouldn't trade the mp3 for his GTI, but if he insists, then I'd give in simply because you'd save tons of money over buying a new car. Then again new cars are nice....

What year's the GTI?

Quick question,

Do you have a sister? I mean a girl that loves cars, and approves of modifying them, and is willing to give up her car so that her husband can have the new one to modify. I need to find a girl like that.

Quick answer: nope. I'm one of a kind! lol (my sister is 4, the only car she's interested in is her Power Wheels)

1) Yes, he reads the board! He's posted already a couple of times, and he'll be reading my post as soon as he gets home!
Besides! In my post I said that I'd already presented him with this option, it's all up for him to decide now!

2) A year in May... we co-exist perfectly! And I'm not a momma, only to my puppy! Another thing we agree on, no kids for a LONG while His happiness means a lot to me, just as much as mine means to him. Gti, mp3. Doesn't matter to me, just so long as he's happy!

i'd keep the two current cars and just make the 'trade' like you suggested. two of my favorite car companies, vw and mazda. i wanted a jetta vr6 but couldnt afford it, so i opted for the protege, which doesn't have the power i wanted, but i love it regardless. ;D and Bean, don't we all need a woman like that?

The GTi is a 98' model - 3rd generation. If I did decide to keep the GTi, which, at this moment I am seriously thinking about doing, I imagine that it would remain MY pocket rocket. Since she has been driving it for the past two days I have really missed it. It's fun to **** off mustangs(GT's and all) along with the civics and neons. It's really hard to beat the power in that little monster.

I wish I could implant that car loving gene into my wife. She has a severe dislike for anything that stiffens the ride, increases the noise, or increases the fun in our new Protege ES. But dats okay because she has other attributes that make her wonderful. We are going to buy a new LX or a Nissan Sentra in order to keep her happy and let me play with my toy. We have also been looking at some VW's and stuff but I am not sure we want to spend that much dinero yet as we are working on buying a house (they are kind of expensive here).
