part number for keyless entry

part number for keyless entry
So I bought the ES 2002 earlier this month from a used car dealer (had about 2K miles!) , but he didnt have the remote for the keyless entry, and only had one key.
I called up a Mazda dealer to find out the price for the remote and it was a whopping $80!! + $30 labor to reprogram. Does anyone know the part number of the remote for the 2002 ES? I saw some on Ebay, and was wondering if it was the same. I believe the part number can be found at the back of the remote.
Thanks

Or you can progam it yourself. For my Civic it consisted of holding the lock button on the remote and turning the key to ACC. Hold the button for like 10 seconds a you're done. It was about the same for my girlfriends old Jeep, so I assume the Mazda is no different.

Yeah I've read that most cars can be programmed pretty easily. The 2 dealers in my area I called said it would cost $30 for half an hour of labor. and $80 for a new key fob remote. Waay too overpriced, but I guess thats expected.

yea, i got two factory mazda remotes for my 1999 626 off of e-bay for 9.99+s&h. he also included instructions for programming. mine were:
1. sit in driver's seat, driver door open, all other closed.
2. do this three times: insert key, turn to "on" position, turn to "off" position, remove key.
3. push the driver door ajar switch three times. car will chime.
4. press any button on 1st remote twice. car will chime.
5. press any button on 2nd remote twice. car will chime.
6. wait 3 seconds. press door ajar switch one time. car will chime.
7. remotes are now programmed.
this worked perfect for my 626, it may work for other mazdas. hope this helps.

What does that remote look like?
Could someone describe the remote of the protege to me? I ordered one on ebay, and it has the right model number and his description is:
"its about 2 inches long with 3 buttons straight down the middle lock, unlock anf a red panic button."
Is that the right one? I thouight the remote had a trunk release button as well.
