Please help! My new car is falling apart!!!
Hello,
thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I have recently purchased a Protege 2002 2.0 ES with Automatic transmission.
Please allow me to enumerate my problems so I can have a good idea of what is happening:
In order of appearance:
1- Gas pedal is very sensible when leaving from park
...a few weeks later
2- Overdrive button in transmission doesnt always work when driving
...a week later
3- abs light comes on
..a day later
4- left my lights on I have to boost my car
5- Car starts engine runs rough
6- Transmission makes a slight noise when going from D to R
7- No power in the gas pedal, flooring the car does nothing, just going very slow.
8- Get home then car dies.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? I know the battery needs help but what about the loss of power on the gas pedal?
Thanks a lot. I need the help.

I would say the first step would be to check all the fluid levels (engine oil, atf, coolant, brake fluid, etc. then go to a garage, autozone, pepboys, mazda dealer, whatever and have them check for diagnostic trouble codes stored in the ecu. Also, have them test your battery, that way you can eliminate that from the list of possible problems with your car.
