Protege 2003 Wind Noise at 60+ MPH

Hi,

I got a pre-owned 03 Protege but still under 36k miles. I noticed (and gets annoyed) that when I drive 60mph or faster, wind noise really is loud and bothering. It looks like coming from the windshield or from the wiper area out front. I don't have a sun roof or roof rack.
Is there an old recall for this that I could bring my car to a dealer and have it fixed? Or is there any easy fix I could for it?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards and more power,
Mon

i think there was some sort of tsb for the protege5, not sure about the sedans. it had to do with the roof rack, but if you dont have that, then i'm not sure. i've noticed my protege isnt the best at wind noise, but most cars in its class are the same. i dont think it'd hurt to ask the dealer to check out the problem next time you need an oil change or something.

Heh, turn your radio up. It's the only fix that I know of.

Smile

I still like to fix it even though radio can cover it up.

Yes, I know. But I was serious.
We're stuck with the noise, unless you can change the aerodynamic characteristics of your car...
