And don't get too worked up before you've even picked up the car over what OTHER people say about the tires, whether it's pro or con. The fact that there's a big difference of opinion on this should only really tell you that you have to get out there and get your own experience with them. It shouldn't take too much winter driving on the stock tires to give you a good feeling as to whether or not picking up a set of winter tires makes sense for you.

I don't think they're crappy tires....
A little caution in the snow (mixed with some experience) should enable you to make it just fine. And then when the pavement is dry, you have those nice Dunlops to play with...
My buddy and I were just talking about how American's are starting to think "all season radials" means that they suffice as snow tires. This is not true; they have always required caution in the winter. That's why the tire manufacturers are now starting to put the snowflake emblems on tires meant for winter driving....
Just don't drive like an **** and you'll be fine.
