Pwr Window Screws Up Radio????

Hey, I was playing around with my car this evening and I found out a problem. If I roll down the rear passenger window, I can hear the motor through the stereo. Its an annoying hum and cuts out some of the radio signal and pisses me off. It's only that one window though. Anyone else notice this??? Between this and the fact that my VIN plate is always bulging up unless its really hot outside, I don't know what bothers me more.

I think i noticed the same thing in my former ('03) P5. Every time a friend or some one was back there, with the window down and the radio on, they complained that that speaker was f'd up or something 'cause all they could hear was a buzzing or humming sound from it.

Bad ground? Faulty switch? Is it only when the motor is working or does it buzz/hum the whole time the window's down?

It only makes noise when the motor is working. The thing is though, my car is all stock.

Try the simple things first. Check the contacts on the window switch. Test it by swapping it with another window. Look at the wiring bundle feeding the door - something pinched or torn? Next thing would be to remove the door panel (I keep some contact adhesive ready to resecure the vapor barrier) and take a look at the wiring - something chaffing, any exposed wires, bad ground. Check the couplers for good, clean contact. I've noticed grounding blocks positioned around the car with multiple ground feeds. Find the one for that door's motor (trace the ground wire if you have to) and pull it, clean it and reapply the contact grease (probably white lithium). If none of that works, check your power feed in much the same way. Or you could contact you dealer and tell them to fix it. I would think your warantee covers something like this. Good luck.
