Question regarding intelligence of WINGSWEST

Why in the world would WW make a body kit only for the mp3? How many mp3s are out there? 2000? If they made one for the regular protege, then their profits would sky rocket. Buncha moronic azzholes..

The only piece of the Wings West kit that doesn't fit non-mp3's is the front bumper.. and that would be a given since so many pieces would be needed to use the the front bumper provided in that kit or the OEM bumper anyway (since otherwise you'd have no grille and no fogs).. plus the WW front bumper is HARDLY different then stock, the little winglets could've been an add on instead of a complete bumper.. but noooo.. wings west decides to make a whole bumper which has to be painted

So get the wings west side skirts, rear skirts.. and then do an OEM MP3 conversion if you're obsessed with the mp3 front bumper's look..

But using OEM front bumper is always better since (although you'll have to buy a new one) you'll have a sturdy front end that retains your crash protection/bumper reinforcement anyway..

Europe has much better front bumpers anyways if you're willing to spend the huge amount of money on customs and losing your reinforcement.

Anyway, yeah. wings west is semi on crack but I love their stuff.

Somewhere on Mazda's site, I saw that a Wings West version of the Protege will be out soon (next month, I believe).

Edit: found the blurb here. It's at the bottom of the MSP intro.

HOLY ****!

Do you guys see what them ***** are doing to a Protege5?

They're making into the Subaru Baja! Seriously though - these guys are nuts.

Click here to check out the webpage and the decent sized writeup of the concept.

Makes me think of P5 convertible - hmmmmm.

****, if VW has the Cabrio, and the PT Cruiser is coming out in drop-top, why can't we?

I emailed WW and they said what it is on the mazda site. They are underway...well you read it:

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that we are currently underway of re-tooling the front bumper so that it fits all the models properly, without changing anything. Since its release, we've discovered a few different things that we need to change and make better.
